Hi,

unless you go for coil overs that are height adjustable a set of shockers, kyb or otherwise will NOT lower your car, however a set of lowering springs will.

The O/E shockers can be stripped and re greased to stop the knocking associated with them, however it usually only lasts around six to eight months depending on mileage covered.

Cheers

Hi,

as far as I am aware both Tein and eibach lowering springs drop the car approx 24mm.

We are Tein dealers and have some great pricing for coil overs, we did an 09 hatch back earlier this week, great quality product and at just £550.00 + vat a set they beat B.C. and racing logic in both price and quality.

Cheers

Hi,

ride height on coil-overs can be adjusted from on its arse to above standard ride height, however dropped to low and the angle of the drive-shafts gets so severe that they can pull out of the diff, we saw this last week when a "specialist" lowered a car to much, it cocked up all the drive-shaft angles and in this case broke a rear CV joint, and of course it drove like a pig, far to low.

We find that 24mm drop from standard looks good and works fine.

cheers

Kev
