Steve
Due to close on Monday 5th November. The museum was founded by Tom Wheatcoft in 1973, two years after he bought the circuit in 1971. The circuit itself re opened in 1976 and I remember walking the entire circuit shortly before the ‘first’ motorcycle race. More on it here https://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/news/local-news/world-famous-donington-car-museum-2095233 A sad loss for the area and sitting here wondering what will happen to all the cars in there also wondering if it would be worth holding the November meet there, for a final chance to look round and take it all in for the final time ? Adybaby
That's a real shame. Would be up for going if I'm not at work.
