Owdo all,

I'm old enough to be most of your grandpa's, but hey, who cares eh?

I've always been a Ford fan at heart, but have now owned 3 Impreza's, the latest one replacing a "modified" Focus (RS looky likey)

I toyed with the idea of having a wide bodied Type R built, but have to admit SC prices were a bit off putting, not doubting the quality for one second, just couldn't comfortably afford to have one built.........and didn't fancy the wait while it all came together..........so I bought one "ready done" from a nice chap in Halifax!, like you do.

I sold my P1 for peanuts just before the prices went silly, that aint going to happen with the Type R........I love it, can't wait to be able to have a bit of wet weather confidence again, something sadly missing from the 300bhp front wheel drive monstrosity I have just sold.

Hoping to get to a few shows this summer, Thoresby for certain,  hope to meet up with more owners, there aren't as many of us about these days.

Out with the old, in with the ummmm older!!!!!!

White 22 B replica car number 1

2 Door bare body shell............£3000.00

SC46 billet turbo.....................£1350.00

cold air induction kit...............£199.99

wiring loom.............................£350.00

interior and dash......................£500.00

R180 diff, shafts with hubs.....£800.00

5 speed dccd helical gear kit...£4000.00

clutch and flywheel.................£548.99

Syvecs ecu..............................£1795.00

SCR big brake kit...................£999.99

Alarm......................................£395.00

Total so far..................................................£29834.97

Labour to build a full car from scratch.......£5500.00

There would also be a boat load of nuts, bolts, fasteners, clips, all kinds of sundries which I guesstimate to be at least £250.00 , we also have fluids including oils both engine and drive train, coolant, brake fluid, etc

We all forget the above would be + vat in an ideal world too.

so total of build is actually £35,584.00 and that also should be + vat = £42,700.00

Car will be offered for sale at £28,000.00

Absolutely, fabulous spec, and top quality, I just couldn't stretch to that at the moment, but would have done without hesitation if I could have, I've just gone for what was comfortable for me at this time.
