ant Posted November 20, 2012 Report Share Posted November 20, 2012 my best chilhood memory it from the 70s when the village i grew up in used to get completely cut of to the outside world nearly every year due to anything upto 6ft snow drifts forming on most of the counrty roads we even used to build igloos or just dig out the middle of the drift and sit inside aaaaaaaaaaaaah them were the daysi was spoilt for choice what to do where to grow all year round as it was endless countryside in every direction and i had the whole of calke abbey grounds to explore as that was the way back then no restrictions no boundaries etc any area of the abbey grounds were accessable Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
