whiteknuckleride Posted October 12, 2011 Report Share Posted October 12, 2011 i called Millers the house builders today about a socket in my living room that i believe needs attention because a small spark can be seen from behind the switch when switched on customer services sent my details to an electrical subcontrator who did the electrics in my building who told me this can be normal!!!!!!!! WTFi have asked them now to come and replace all the other sockets then because none of the others spark lolto be continued............. Steve Posted October 12, 2011 Report Share Posted October 12, 2011 Are you trying to switch a load ? i.e is something plugged into the socket that comes on straight away ?They shouldn't normally spark. Sockets with switces are designed to switch the cicuit on or off quickly and supress any arc, but may slightly spark if a load is present.
