I have to say that I quite enjoy it. Yes there are a lot of adverts, but I wouldn't say they were excessive, or rather I've never noticed that they are excessive.

What I do notice though, being a reader of a number of auto mags, it is noticable that the writing doesn't seem to have quite the same sparkle as the writing in such as Evo. I can't quite put my finger on why that is. It's interesting, and informative and I've no intention of stopping my current subscription, but it needs something, but I'm not sure what that something is..... Maybe it is the curse of trying to write soley about a single brand ?

This could be a result of the fact most of the articles are self written they expect if you want your car or club featured for you to submit the pictures and write the article at least thats how it was when we were featured.

What about an impreza though the ages feature-or a special on the classic scrapage scheme?

Think this is a cracking idea could it be worth looking at say having the cars in there different versions, but all in the same colour I know this would be difficult but think we can cover most options in WHITE.

Classic 4dr saloon (Artyscoob/JDM_Mike), Classic 2dr (Adamtyper/Marktyper), Wagon (Ivan/Initialg)

Bugeye (Hendo)

Blobeye (Marv)

Hawkeye (can't think of a nice white hawk lol)

Hatch (Salsa King)

Just an idea.

Or why doesn't the club go through and see how many different models are in the club from uk turbo wrx sti etc etc and get one of each for a photo shoot to show the public how a club can have such a varied and diverse amount off machinery in one club all with one intrest at heart !!! SCOOBS !!!I think this would be a great photo shoot for the club and could involve loads of cars from all walks , type r versions jdm versions sti wrx uk turbo saloon estate etc etc and also give more members the opportunity to get there car un a mag !!

Yeah hear what you're saying Andy, however, this comment applies to their articles, I had already taken into account the self written issue you mention.

I think even their profesional written articles still lack a certain something. As I said before I can't put my finger on what is missing, maybe that's simply the difference in the quality of the writers involved, or the curse of writing about a single make, which primarily is mostly a single model, there's only so much enthusiasm you can muster ?

you get what you pay for probably applies....

the likes of evo/redline can afford to get decent journo's.. a newly starting mag will have to start at the bottom...

i know what your saying tho....

personaly I prefer an all grey issue, may be an STI5 wagon versus RB5 feature. One could argue that both a reasonably unique and reasonably scarce.

I know where there's a nice V5 they can use :D

Or perhaps there's something to be had comparing similar coloured similar generation vehicles.....

Maybe have to think a bit.

As for the journo quality(and stick with me on this as it rambles a bit)..... you'd think they might be approaching the point with the collective circulation they could maybe do a feature where they compare the best or good examples of each of the breed of the 3 mags they produce (scoob, evo, nissan), as lets face we all love Jap cars regardless of badge :crybaby: we just happen to prefer scoobs :)

And perhpas as they could spread the cost as the article would go in all three, they could even get a guest writer to pen the article.....

Not sure how you'd approach that a suggestion though without poffending the encumbent writers :blushing:
