scatty
how does it help the non insured on the road?????surely this aims to get non insured vehicles off the road.....maybe im not reading it right....
Mr D
makes sense to me , maybe i'm reading it wrong too so if you have no insurance you must sorn the vehicle or its a fine? if you have no insurance you cant drive it anyway so it would make sense to sorn the vehicle surely better to get a tax refund than a fine
scatty
thats how i read it....if the vehicle has no insurance but isnt sorn, then its to the knackers yard...is that a bad thing????? if you had a car with no insurance, then surely it would be sorn, if it wasnt, i would imagine you would be driving it around with no insurance.... dabow
but think of it this way then. say you get a new motor, as we all do, you change the insurance over. and keep that car off the road a little till you sell it yes, you put it on your drive say. what this new law states, you have to insure that car, if its taxed. you have to class that car as sorn yes. who the hell would buy that motor off you, if there 1) no tax & 2) you are unable to drive it unless ins re-insured & taxed. and as its says, for some peeps who just leave say a months tax, and sorn it for a month or 2. you have to also cancel the insurreance. classic car drives do this alot, its a load of rubbish. its just another money making rip off for owe usless gov
dabow
the other thing it states, its the car thats insured, not the driver?also, you are fined if a car is taxed and not insured.how the hell can that be a law?
Scratch
Maybe it's all a conspiracy plan for Admiral to sell more multi-car policies
dabow
never throught of that one it still wont solve anything. as if the car has insurrence on it. the police are unlikly to stop it. so the muppets will still be able to drive.just has to have both tax & insurance ect.i know peepes who get someone to insure the car, and they drive it.i think there they need to have a rethink with this, as the only peeps that it dont work for, is the ones that do pay for there car insurrance
