Having a good clear-out!!

I remember taking some clothes to a Charity shop, Childrens, so like new because they grow so fast. I thought I was doing a good deed, until the women in store said "HAVE THEY BEEN WASHED AND IRONED" She refused them. They had been washed but not Ironed. I thought Charity meant to the needy. I was wrong.

We must get at least 2 or 3 charity bags put through our door evevry week but each time you put them out for collection on the day that they say they'll collect, nothing!! The bag is still sitting there so it's down to the charity shop instead!!

if you put the bags, out you donot know if the right people are picking the bags up

True but then what do you do and who do you trust? Any fooker who stopps so low that they steal from charity should die horrible anyway, lowest of the low in my book

Check with people you know in your area who have kids at primary/junior school (Jason perhaps) as many schools do a thing called 'bags2school', where you take bags of clothes, shoes etc to the school and the charity then collects from them, the schools also get a bit from the charity toward funds. Worth asking around, we do it at our school and it works well for all concerned. Problem with many charity shops is that they are in town centres and pedestrian areas, making it dificult to pull up outside and drop bags off, schools are much easier!!
