Scratch
Just had an update from Keith at Scoobyprojects on the V5 STI Wagon engine rebuild. The cylinder heads appear to be far more cracked than first thought when removed to the point that they may be scrap Anyone know a good ali welder or have some heads kicking about, or suggest anywhere that I might be able to source some.have already posted up in wanted on here, SIDC and SNet, and have contacted Grade-A. Scratch
Thanks for the suggestions guys, on hols at the moment so not had much chance to check things out. Will give them a call on monday.Have found 1 place that advertises new ones for £494 each But not had any luck with the usual suspects.Beginning to think it might haver been easier to throw the wagon away and just look for a new one..... especailly as it's now rea\ching the point where it is going to cost more than the car is worth, and at the rate of money haemorrage currently, it might have been easier to keep saving an get either a Forester STI or Legacy Spec B 3.0R.... Scratch
Woo hoo, just had a call from Keith. It's only gone and passed it's MOT today, first try, no advisories or anything 11 years old, and been sat in the garage for almost 2 years, and straight through the MOT. Bet an EVO would never manage that, well especially not Jase's one anyway LOL!
