  1. This seems a really good show and very well attended. Basically it's a classic car, modern classic and exotic sports car show. If your displaying your car is free entry. Dates are. 30th June, 21st July, 11th August and 22nd of September. Display cars should be there by 09:30am and it runs until 4pm. It's held at Penkridge market. Pinfold lane, Stafford, ST19 5AP. There's a car for sale area, clubs welcome, and trade stands, plus catering. If you want more details Tel:07449880068. I'm taking my RB5 there on the 30th of June. Hopefully mite see some of you there. RB5STEVE.
  2. Yes. I've been in touch with the guy who's organising the meet at Prodrive. I was going to go, but I have a classic car show on that day I've already bought a ticket for, so will have to miss the Prodrive meet. He also mentioned the Rally show 20th anniversary RB5 meet as well. Will have to see about that one as I've also booked a place at a classic car show on that day as well. I've had to cut down the shows I'm doing this year, from April to September, 22 shows. Lol. So I'm missing a few out. I've missed two already with the RB5 being off the road for major surgery and yesterday the found a small leak on a petrol pipe, so they replaced that, so it's the 3rd week without my car. Good job I'm retired as I don't have the luxury of owning a second car to get about in. The joys of owning an old car. Lol. Anyway. Thanks for letting me know about things. Cheers. Steve.
  3. Thanks for that. I emailed Prodrive last night to find out if any things happening.
  4. I've heard on the grapevine there's a 20th anniversary meet for the RB5'S at Prodrive in June. Anyone heard anything about this. I've emailed the RB5 owners club, but they don't return any emails!
  5. Cheers lads. Prodrive Subaru produced so special Subaru clothing for Richard Burns fans, the were made by performance clothing, I've only ever seen one jacket for sale on eBay at a silly price, but was to small for me anyway. I haven't been an RB5 owners club member for a few years now, but I know they do there own club stuff. There's actually a proper Subaru works fleece signed by Burns and Mcrea, that's being sold on the by the Richard Burns foundation, but again it's a silly price. Will keep looking though.
  6. Any body out there got any of the original Richard Burns collection, jackets, shirts in xxxl or any other type of RB goods. Cheers. RB5steve.

After much thought I've decided to get my RB5 renovated. It now needs new rear arches and seals. The old girl passed its MOT recently with flying colours, hopefully the RB5 will go in to the body shop in April and be ready for the classic car season this year, another thing that needs doing is the oil crank seal as it's just started dripping oil. I was very near to selling it and as I'm retired I was thinking do I need to keep throwing money at it and as haven't the luxury of owning another car I still use the RB5 all year round, but, what do I next buy that will give me as much driving enjoyment, do I've decided to keep the old girl, throw some more money at it and enjoy my motoring as usual. Hopefully I will joing the club again when she's sorted, as far as classic car shows are concerned I'm doing around 16 shows from may to October with my classic car show mates and some separate ones just with the RB5. RB5 Steve.
  8. Have put some dates here of some classic and transport extravaganza shows. Most you have to book a ticket to display your car. Monday 28th of May. Gawsworth Hall young timers show. Very good show. If interested in showing your car, call 01260 223456. Sunday 17th June. Trentham Gardens, festival of transport, Old and modern cars on display and space for clubs. For tickets call Gemini events on 01527 831726. Sunday 19th of August. Lupin Farm, organised by L+HCRT, Near Alwras. Brilliant show, turn up, chuck a fiver in a bucket which goes to charity. Know need to book. Sunday the 2nd of September, Cholmondeley Castle classic car show, individual and car clubs. Look online for details. Just some of interest, these shows have no age restrictions. RB5 Steve.
  9. Glad I got the Subaru world rally team umbrella and the Subaru world rally team STI/Prodrive polo shirt from you. Great bargains and much appreciated. RB5steve.
  10. Yeah. I've never been there before, but will definitely try to get there next year. I've got a classic car show on Sunday at Ashover in Derbyshire so I'm hoping it's not gonna be to wet.
  11. Just seen this event online this morning. This weekend there celebrating group A rally cars and also 20 years of rallying. Lots of things to do and watch, classic car show there as well and clubs invited. Rally drivers there doing autograph signing, music, plus the hill climb itself. Looks like a really good weekend.
  12. Just been looking on the HRCR ( historic rally car register) site. According to there calendar they are holding a sprint event there the same time as the breakfast club meet on the 12th of August at Curborough. Looks like it could be a good day there!
  13. Apparently the historic rally car register are holding a sprint at Curborough on the 12th as part of there sprint championship! Wow. Bacon sandwiches, good cars to look at and a history rally car sprint to look at. Can't be bad.
  14. The next Breakfast club meet at Curborough will be on the 12th of August from 08:30 to 11:30 am. For those who are interested Shenstone and district car club are having a club afternoon there from midday
  15. Yeah I'm pretty busy myself these days. Although I'm now retired, I have to help my old mum out most of the time as she is very dodgy on the old pins. I'm actually booked in with the lads I normally do it with this year. I don't mind helping out anytime with the club, but as far as organising an event I had enough of that with club Audi as I was North Midlands rep and used to organise stands at four classic car shows around Staffordshire, Derbyshire and Cheshire. I had a club gazebo with banners, merchandise and all the bits and bob's stuffed into my poor old Audi! But in the end I gave it up as my marriage broke up and my health took a turn for the worse when my father died. I don't mind helping on stands or anything like that, but my organisation days are over now, plus I don't have a computer any more, so everything is done on my mobile. Hope you appreciate my situation, but I will support the club as much as I can.
